  • Margie Muñoz, LPC (she/her) is a therapist working with pre-teens and adolescents (ages 12 and above), young adults, and adults. Margie approaches therapy through a holistic lens, using compassion and warm curiosity to support clients’ exploration of all aspects of who they are, how they feel, and what matters to them. Using psychodynamic techniques, Margie believes in co-creating unique experiences and relationships, meaning that the structure of sessions is framed by what feels personally relevant to each client within the therapeutic relationship.

Margie has years of experience helping clients work through the impact of social pressure in adolescence, childhood trauma, relationship violence, and loss. Margie meets clients where they are at, and respects clients’ direction and autonomy when processing difficult experiences and emotions. When working with adolescents, Margie also offers support in navigating parent-child relationships. Margie uses trauma-informed approaches, including Sensorimotor techniques, Internal Family Systems (“parts” work), and yoga as tools to support clients’ connection to themselves. Margie is also trained in EMDR, and is able to include this in therapy based on clients’ readiness.

As a Colombian immigrant and after moving around the world throughout her childhood, Margie brings a unique multicultural awareness and experience to the therapeutic relationship. Professionally, Margie has experience working with folks experiencing a range of difficulties within the immigrant experience, including discrimination, feelings of isolation, and legal issues. Margie is fluent in Spanish, and is happy to provide therapy in Spanish.
