  • Jack grew up in Ann Arbor and graduated from the University of Michigan School of Social Work in 2022. He completed his internship in psychotherapy at the University of Michigan Department of Psychiatry. He specializes in psychotherapy for adults and older adolescents (ages 16+) experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other complex disorders using psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) modalities.

Jack’s approach to therapy is based in empathic listening and collaboration. He works to help individuals tell their own stories, understand the meaning of their thoughts and feelings, and integrate different parts of the self. He believes therapy can be creative, challenging, fun, and deeply emotionally rewarding.

Jack welcomes individuals across the gender, sexuality, race, and cultural spectrums into his practice. His internship training was focused in the Perinatal Psychiatry clinic and he enjoys working with pregnant and postpartum women and with reproductive health issues. He also trained at the C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Inpatient program. He has experience working with people in recovery at Dawn Farm Treatment Center. He is currently studying psychotherapy at the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute.

Jack earned his undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Economics at Columbia University. Prior to becoming a therapist he worked in investment banking in New York, Houston, and San Francisco. He brings his diverse work experience, sense of humor, and personal interest in art, literature, and philosophy to enrich his clinical work.
